Private label tins let a retailer or brand put a decorative metal box on the shelf without ever building a factory. Masaş has manufactured private label tin packaging out of İstanbul since 1979, running the entire OEM/ODM process — design development, tooling, offset printing and metal forming — under one roof so that the finished tin carries nothing but your brand.
Because every stage happens in-house, there is no subcontracted printing house or third-party forming shop touching your project. That single-site control is what makes private label tin packaging viable at real commercial volumes: consistent colour from the first unit to the last, a tool held at our own factory that reproduces the same shape run after run, and a factory that treats your artwork as yours alone.
Masaş has manufactured decorative tinplate packaging in İstanbul since 1979 and exports to more than 50 countries. Design, tooling, offset printing, forming and food-safe lacquering are all done in our own plant. We hold moulds rather than finished printed stock, so every printed tin is formed and printed to your order. The figures below apply to anything on this page.

What OEM/ODM tin production actually means
OEM production means Masaş manufactures the tin box to your exact specification — your dimensions, your artwork, your finish — and it leaves the factory as your product. ODM goes a step further: our design team can help develop the shape, lid mechanism and structural details from a brief, a sketch, or a reference sample, so a private label partner without in-house packaging engineers can still launch a fully custom tin. Either route, your artwork and your print are exclusive to you. The tooling is a separate matter, and we are direct about it: the tooling charge covers making the mould, and the mould remains Masaş property in our İstanbul factory, so the same body shape may later run for another customer under entirely different artwork.
Confidentiality built into the process
Private label only works if the arrangement stays private. Masaş treats client artwork and specifications as confidential by default, and separates production runs by client so that designs and colourways are not shared, mixed, or reused across accounts. Moulds are the one exception, stated plainly: a mould stays Masaş property and the same body shape may be produced again for another customer, always with different artwork. Retailers and brands can source a distinctive tin knowing the design lane is theirs.
Your artwork, your brand, nothing else on the tin
A private label tin should never hint at who manufactured it. Every surface — lid, base, side walls — is offset printed to your Pantone-matched colours and finished per your brief in matte, gloss or soft-touch varnish, with spot-UV, embossing or debossing, and metallic or pearlescent inks available where the design calls for extra shelf presence. The result reads as an in-house product of your company, not a sourced component.
Design support from concept to production-ready file
Many private label partners arrive with a brand identity but no packaging structure yet. Our design team works from that identity to propose shapes — round, square, rectangular, oval, heart or fully bespoke — and lid types, then prepares production-ready artwork and tooling drawings. Brands with a finished design file can skip straight to prototyping; brands starting from a concept get full development support.

A private label programme depends on the tenth reorder looking identical to the first. Because Masaş controls tooling, printing and forming internally, colour, dimensional accuracy and lid fit are managed against the same reference standard for every production run. Custom private label runs are produced from 5,000 to 25,000 pieces per design, giving retailers and brands a scalable path as the range grows.

Will the tin show any Masaş branding?
No. Private label tins are produced exclusively with your artwork and brand identity. Masaş operates strictly as the manufacturer behind the scenes.
Can Masaş help design the tin if we do not have packaging engineers in-house?
Yes. Our in-house design team can develop the shape, lid mechanism and print layout from your brand brief through to production-ready files, an ODM service for brands that need structural design support.
What is the minimum order for a private label programme?
Custom private label runs are typically produced from 5,000 to 25,000 pieces per design and size — large tins near 5,000, small tins usually 20,000 to 25,000. A mould we already hold removes the tooling charge and around eight weeks of lead time, but the print minimum still applies; only plain, unprinted tins are sold in smaller quantities.
Is our design kept exclusive to us?
Your artwork and specifications are. They are treated as confidential and are not shared or reused across other accounts. The mould is not: the tooling charge covers making the die, which remains Masaş property in our İstanbul factory and may later be run for another customer under different artwork.
Can the interior be made food-safe for edible products?
Yes, food-grade lacquer is available for direct food contact, with food-contact suitability confirmed per project against the applicable regulations.
