Soy Candles in Tins, Made to Order

100% soy or a soy blend, poured into your own printed tin — and labelled with claims you can stand behind.

Soy is the wax most candle brands start with: a plant wax made from soybean oil, soft enough to pour into a tin and hold fragrance well. It comes as 100% soy or as a soy blend, poured into a tin we print with your artwork in our own factory in İstanbul, and delivered lidded, labelled and packed.

This page covers what is particular to soy — the choice between pure soy and a blend, why soy belongs in a container, the frosting every soy candle shows sooner or later, and the rules on label claims that apply in the EU from 27 September 2026. 100% soy or a soy blend

Both are available, and the difference matters mainly on the label. 100% soy lets you say exactly that. A soy blend — soy with a share of another wax, such as coconut — gives a smoother top and a stronger scent throw, but the label has to say it is a blend. Tell us which your brand wants to claim and we pour to that, so the wax in the tin and the words on the label never disagree.

Why soy belongs in a tin

Soy is a soft wax with a low melting point. It will not stand on its own as a pillar candle; it needs a vessel, and a tin is the natural one. A tin does not break in transit, weighs a fraction of a glass jar of the same size, and closes with a lid, so the candle arrives at the shelf clean and stays covered until it is opened.

Frosting is not a fault

Sooner or later most soy candles show a white, crystalline bloom on the surface or along the wall. It is called frosting, it is the natural behaviour of a vegetable wax, and it has no effect on how the candle burns. A blend reduces it; nothing removes it entirely. It is worth a line in your product description so a customer does not mistake it for a defect.

What you can say on the label

Soy candles are usually sold with words like eco-friendly and green. From 27 September 2026, EU consumer law (Directive (EU) 2024/825) prohibits generic environmental claims of that kind unless the trader can demonstrate recognised excellent environmental performance. Specific, verifiable statements remain available — 'wax made from soybean oil', '100% soy wax', 'steel tin, recyclable with metal packaging where it is collected'. We keep the label copy we prepare with you to statements that can be substantiated. This is general guidance, not legal advice; your own compliance adviser has the final word on your claims.

Tins for a soy range

A soy range usually runs in two or three sizes: a small travel tin such as the Ø73 × 27 mm at 110 ml, a classic Ø83 × 35 mm at 190 ml, and a Ø99 × 60 mm table candle at 460 ml. All nine formats are available in soy; the full list, with capacities, is on the private-label candles page.

Frequently asked questions

Should we choose 100% soy or a blend?

Choose by the claim you want to make. If your brand promise is '100% soy', pour pure soy. If a smoother top and a stronger scent matter more, a blend does better, and the label says it is a blend.

Does soy burn cleaner than paraffin?

Soy produces little soot when the wick suits the tin, but soot depends mostly on the wick and the flame, not on the wax alone. That is why we choose the wick for each tin diameter and confirm it on the sample.

Can we label the candles vegan?

Soy wax contains no animal ingredients. Whether the finished candle can be labelled vegan depends on the fragrance, which we confirm for the fragrance you choose.

Can one order carry several fragrances?

Yes. One order can be split across several fragrances. Tell us the mood and we send you the options, or pour with a fragrance oil you already use.

What is the minimum order, and how long does it take?

From 1,000 candles on a stock tin with your printed lid, in 2–4 weeks from artwork approval; from 5,000 with the tin fully printed, in 4–6 weeks.
