A lid closes firmly, but a decorative tin is not a liquid-tight pack, so a soft or oil-rich formula is tested in a sample tin before a run. Yes — we offset-print to your exact artwork in Pantone-matched colour, then add matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot-UV, embossing or metallic-ink effects to suit a premium cosmetic brand.
What is the minimum order for a custom tin?
Custom-printed cosmetic tins run 5,000–25,000 pieces per design — larger tins sit at the lower end, smaller ones higher. Plain, unprinted tins on a mould we already hold can be supplied in smaller quantities; printed tins are always made to order, because we hold moulds rather than finished printed stock.
Can you make a custom shape or size?
Yes. We build our own tooling in-house, so a bespoke shape, embossed lid or special format for your balm or pan is all possible. New-tooling lead times are confirmed with your quote.
Which lids are available, and do they leak?
Screw, press-fit and slip lids are available, and we recommend the closure for your fill. A decorative tin is not liquid-tight: a balm that is solid at room temperature is the right fill, and a soft or oil-rich formula should be tested in a sample tin first.
