Custom Gingerbread & Shortbread Tins
Festive printed tins for gingerbread, shortbread and Christmas biscuits — kept long after the last one is eaten.
Some biscuits are bought in a tin or not at all. Gingerbread, shortbread and the spiced Christmas biscuits of every country are seasonal gifts, and the tin is half of what is being given: it arrives on the table in December and holds something else for years afterwards. Bakeries, confectioners and retailers build their seasonal ranges around it. A decorative tin is not airtight, so biscuits that need a long shelf life are flow-wrapped or bagged inside. We make the tins in-house — round, square and rectangular, on moulds we already hold. Offset-printed on food-grade tinplate and produced to order, these custom gingerbread and shortbread tins ship as wholesale runs from our own factory.
Tins ready for your range
Fully printable to your artwork · custom runs 5,000–25,000 pcs.
Round, square and rectangular
The round tin is the tradition: Ø215 × 35 mm for a single layer, Ø215 × 55 mm for two, and the deep Ø133 × 85 mm for a stack of rounds. Rectangular tins at 190 × 135 × 60 mm and 240 × 140 × 40 mm suit fingers and assortments, and the square tin at 160 × 160 × 50 mm sits between the two. All are moulds we already hold, so a seasonal range needs no tooling. We send a real tin from production free of charge so you can test the layout with your own biscuits, and you cover only the courier.
A tin designed to be kept
Seasonal biscuit tins are bought with the eyes and kept for the tin. Embossing formed into the lid — a snowflake, a crest, a quilted pattern — is what makes a tin read as a keepsake rather than a printed box, and it is done with tooling we make in-house. Artwork is offset-printed in Pantone-matched colour under a matte or gloss varnish. For Christmas, retail wants goods in the depot by September or October and production runs 4–6 weeks from approved artwork, so the design is normally signed off in early summer.

Frequently asked questions
Does the tin keep biscuits crisp?
It protects them from breakage, light and everyday humidity far better than a carton, but it is not airtight. For a long shelf life the biscuits are flow-wrapped or bagged inside the tin.
Are the tins food-safe for direct contact?
Yes. We line the interior with a food-grade lacquer matched to your product, so it never touches bare metal. Food-contact suitability is confirmed per project against the product and the applicable regulations.
Can you match our brand colours and finish?
Yes — we offset-print to your exact artwork in Pantone-matched colour, then add matte, gloss, soft-touch, spot-UV, embossing or metallic-ink effects to suit a premium bakery brand.
What is the minimum order for a custom tin?
Custom-printed gingerbread and shortbread tins run 5,000–25,000 pieces per design — larger tins sit at the lower end, smaller ones higher. Plain, unprinted tins on a mould we already hold can be supplied in smaller quantities; printed tins are always made to order, because we hold moulds rather than finished printed stock.
Can you make a custom shape or size?
Yes. We build our own tooling in-house, so a bespoke shape, embossed lid or special format for your biscuit tin is all possible. New-tooling lead times are confirmed with your quote.
